Transnational Student Internship Programs (ERASMUS)

The University of Granada, through the Center for the Promotion of Employment and Internships (CPEP) and the Office of International Relations (ORI), offer to carry out internships in entities / companies located in other countries of the European Union different from Spain .

The specific objectives of the Lifelong Learning Program (Erasmus) are:

To contribute to the development of quality lifelong learning and to promote high standards of quality, innovation and the European dimension in systems and practices in this field;

  • To support the creation of a European area of ​​lifelong learning;

  • To help improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of lifelong learning opportunities available in member states;

  • To Strengthen the contribution of lifelong learning to social cohesion, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, equality between men and women and personal fulfillment;

  • To help to promote creativity, competitiveness, employability and the growth of entrepreneurship;

  • To promote greater participation in lifelong learning for people of all ages, including those with special needs and those belonging to disadvantaged groups, irrespective of their socio-economic status;

  • To promote the learning of languages ​​and linguistic diversity;

  • To support the development, in the field of lifelong learning, of innovative ICT-based content, services, pedagogies and practices;

  • To strengthen the capacity for lifelong learning to create a sense of European citizenship, based on understanding and respect for human rights and democracy, and to promote tolerance and respect for other peoples and cultures;

  • To promote cooperation on quality assurance in all sectors of education and training in Europe;

  • To encourage better use of results and innovative products and processes and exchange good practices in the areas covered by the lifelong learning program in order to improve the quality of education and training.

Requirements

Students taking part in LLP / Erasmus mobility activities must:

  1. To be enrolled in the University of Granada during all the period of the scholarship.

  2. To have passed 50% of the credits of the studies that you are taking.

  3.  To be citizens of the country that meets the requirements to participate in ERASMUS activities, from which they wish to move abroad under the Erasmus program, or have permanent or temporary resident status throughout the practice, be recognized as stateless, or have refugee status in the country from which they wish to participate in Erasmus activities. In the last three cases, the condition of the student to participate in the Erasmus program must be documented.

FARO Global Scholarships

The FARO Global Program promotes the mobility of undergraduate students from all Spanish universities by conducting quality training in companies based in Europe, Asia, the United States and Canada. The ultimate goal of the program is to facilitate their professional insertion by improving their skills, aptitudes and attitudes.

For the student constitutes a first contact with the professional reality of his sector in an international context, which allows him to acquire new knowledge and skills. For the company, it means having a qualified collaborator, strengthening its relationship with other markets.

The scholarships are awarded on a continuous basis during the validity of the program, with December 31, 2013 being the deadline for completion and return of the last scholarship holder. The average duration of the scholarship is seven months if carried out in the USA, Canada and Asia and six months in the case of Europe.

This program is funded by the Ministry of Education, the General Foundation of the University of Valladolid being the entity that promotes and manages it at the national level.

The FARO scholarship program began in 2002. Since then, four editions have been managed, three of which belong to the Faro program, which offers stays in European Union countries and associates, and the last corresponding to Faro Global, which extended the destinations to companies located In Asia, the USA and Canada. Since then, it has become possible for almost 3,000 fellows from 92 degrees and belonging to 67 Spanish universities to have had a training period in companies from 44 different countries.
